U.S. Gulf Coast conventional gasoline discount narrows on refinery buying

On Thursday, supported by refinery buying, U.S. Gulf Coast conventional gasoline cash differentials strengthened.

Traders said Gulf Coast M2 conventional gasoline (RU-DIFF-USG) narrowed its discount to the NYMEX RBOB gasoline futures front-month contract (RBc1) by 5 cents, to a 4-cent discount; A2 CBOB gasoline (CBOB-DIFF-USG)differential fell 0.5 cents, at a 14-cent discount to futures.

For ultra-low sulfur diesel, Gulf Coast 62-grade ULSD (ULSD-DIFF-USG)differential fell 0.75 cents, at a 5-cent discount to the futures front-month contract (HOc1).

Chicago-area CBOB gasoline differentials were steady, at a 15-cent discount to futures; ultra-low sulfur diesel differentialsfell 4.5 cents, at a 7.5-cent discount to futures.
