Tongxing Technology launches sodium-ion battery cathode project, with production expected to start in October.

On May 11, Tongxing Technology (003027) revealed during an institutional research event that the company has signed an investment agreement with the Pingshan County Government for the 20,000 tons/year sodium-ion battery cathode material project. Currently, the production line for this project is under accelerated construction. According to the plan and actual progress, 10,000 tons of capacity is expected to be completed and put into production in October 2026.

Meanwhile, the company has initiated the process of sending samples of its sodium-ion battery cathode materials to customers for pilot testing; subsequent formal orders will be gradually signed and finalized after the production line achieves mass production and the customer factory inspection process is completed.
