102 national standards officially take effect on June 1, covering fire protection, boards, and power batteries

Since June 1, a total of 102 national standards have been fully implemented in China. These standards span multiple key fields including public safety, people's livelihood and health, transportation, ecological environmental protection, elderly care services, new energy, and financial services. Many mandatory standards further tighten industry regulations and raise product baselines, not only comprehensively safeguarding the lives, health, and vital interests of the public but also building a solid institutional framework for the standardized and high-quality development of various industries.

Among the standards implemented this time, many categories closely related to daily life and public safety have garnered significant attention.

In the field of fire safety, the new mandatory national standard "Independent Smoke Fire Detectors" has officially come into effect, replacing the old version. The new standard comprehensively optimizes product technical indicators, promotes photoelectric detection methods, and relies on intelligent algorithms to reduce false alarms caused by cooking fumes, water vapor, and dust. It also defines product service life, extending the service life of non-replaceable battery devices to 10 years, and adds practical functions such as remote muting and data recording. As a core standard for interior decoration, it further tightens the formaldehyde emission limits for wood-based panels and their products, improves testing methods and determination rules, and controls pollutant emissions from decoration materials at the source. The implementation of the standard will force panel manufacturing enterprises to upgrade production processes and optimize raw material formulas, comprehensively improve the environmental protection level of home decoration products, effectively safeguard indoor air quality and resident health, and guide the wood-based panel industry to transform towards green, low-carbon, and high-quality directions.

Addressing the trend of population aging, the "Inclusive Communities for Cognitive Disorders in an Aging Society" standards have been officially implemented. They establish unified norms regarding community care, activity space design, service processes, and humanistic care for the elderly with cognitive disorders. The new energy industry is also seeing the implementation of new standards. The "Traction Battery Defect Monitoring and Analysis" standard establishes a full-process defect identification, monitoring, traceability, and analysis system for power battery products, covering production, usage, recycling, and other links. This standard can timely identify battery safety hazards, improve the reliability of power battery products, and provide technical standard support for the safe and steady development of the new energy vehicle and energy storage industries.

In addition, the "Financing Services for Micro, Small, and Medium-sized Enterprises" standards, which support the development of the real economy, have also been simultaneously implemented.
