On June 1, 2026, the U.S. Department of Commerce issued a notice initiating the second sunset review of antidumping and countervailing duty investigations on melamine imported from China. Concurrently, the U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC) initiated the second sunset review industry injury investigation regarding the products involved. The review will examine whether the imposition of antidumping and countervailing duties is likely to lead to continuation or recurrence of material injury to the U.S. domestic industry within a reasonably foreseeable time if the current measures are revoked.

Interested parties must file requests for participation with the U.S. Department of Commerce within 10 days from the date of this notice. Interested parties must file responses with the U.S. International Trade Commission by July 1, 2026, and submit comments on the sufficiency of the responses to the U.S. International Trade Commission no later than August 10, 2026.

On March 9, 2021, the U.S. Department of Commerce made a final determination in the first expedited sunset review of the antidumping duty investigation on melamine imported from China.
